The Shepherd’s Closet thrift centers, located in Alton and Le Mars, support the Zestos ministry while working in harmony with churches and other organizations. We do this by providing a variety of resources that can be used caring for those in need.

 

Our inventory is supplied by charitable donations from the communities we serve. Everyone likes the fact that items  are gathered and distributed locally. Clothing, furniture, housewares, appliances and other treasures are always welcome!

 

Volunteers at The Shepherd’s Closet experience personal growth, healing from their own cares, and a feeling of greater purpose. Fellowship and sharing between customers and volunteers is a key part of the environment. There is always time to listen, to share a hug, a prayer or just an encouraging word.

 

In today's society, we are blessed with more material things than we know what to do with. Our job at the Shepherd's Closet is committing those material things to every need  and worthwhile cause that comes our way.
